ECUMENICAL BELIEF
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and
Saviour, God has revealed His love and offered salvation to humanity.
Ecumenical Catholic Church in India
(ECCI) believes that God's invitation is
extended to all people who seek healing, reconciliation, truth, and a life of
unity in diversity.
We seek to serve God's people without
discrimination and to witness to the love of Christ through our words, worship,
and actions.
Our desire is simple:

To work for unity.

To follow Jesus Christ.
ECUMENICAL MISSION
The mission of the Ecumenical
Catholic Church in India (ECCI) is to serve God and His people through
Christian unity, sacramental ministry, pastoral care, social service, and
ecumenical cooperation.
Our
mission includes, but is not limited to, the following:
1.
Restoring Places of Worship
To
identify abandoned or non-operating church buildings and, where possible, work
with the appropriate authorities and communities toward their restoration and
renewed sacramental use.
2.
Building Churches and Places of Prayer
To
develop and support churches and sacred spaces where Christians from different
traditions can come together in prayer and worship, according to their
respective Rites and traditions, as a witness to Christian unity.
3.
Serving the Poor and Vulnerable
To
establish and support facilities for the poor, needy, elderly, abandoned, and
socially marginalized, particularly those who have been rejected or forgotten
by their families or communities.
4.
Pastoral and Educational Ministries
To
provide counselling, retreats, spiritual formation, special education and
training, rehabilitation services, and other programs that promote human
dignity and Christian life.
5.
Accessible Sacramental and Funeral Ministry
To
provide pastoral, sacramental, and funeral services without discrimination and,
wherever possible, without financial barriers preventing people from receiving
pastoral care.
ECUMENICAL VISION
Ecumenical
Catholic Church in India (ECCI) believes that Christian unity does not
require the destruction of legitimate traditions or differences. Rather, unity
calls Christians to discover what we share in Christ while respecting
legitimate diversity in matters that do not divide the essential faith.
Our guiding principle is:
“Unity
in Essentials, Diversity in Non-Essentials, and Charity in All Things.”

- Dialogue
and fellowship among Christians of different traditions.
- Respect
for legitimate Catholic and Christian Rites and traditions.

in prayer, worship, charity, and social service.

for conscience and legitimate diversity.

to the poor, vulnerable, marginalized, and forgotten.
